All of our databases, streaming video sites, and eBook Central require you to log in. We are now using a Single Login system so logging into databases is easy. Your Username and Password is the same username and password that you use to sign into your email and Moodle. In the case of students, that username is your Student ID number beginning with the letter S. For faculty and staff, the username is the same that you use to access your email. The Login Page looks like this:
ID cards are made in the Library, and allow you entry to our athletic facility (when open), discounts at stores and cultural establishments, and more. Faculty, Staff and Student Picture BCC ID's are made in the Library during our regular scheduled hours, and your initial ID is free. Replacement IDs are $5.00. For faculty, if you are teaching long distance, and can not get to Berkshire County we can issue you a physical library card. A BCC ID Card includes your library barcode on the backside, beginning with 2739. The ID Card Library will allow you to borrow books. (Students can also use their Student ID numbers, if they have a picture ID, but it really is easier to just bring your BCC ID in when you want to borrow a book.) You do NOT need an ID card to access databases.
If a book is not in our collection, you have the option to Place A Hold and order books on your own from other libraries in the HELM system. (Due to COVID, not all libraries are currently lending.) The catalog address is https://bkcc-catalog.helmlib.org/ You can search the catalog on this page, where you will also find the following directions there to sign into your BCC Library Catalog account to check on when books might be due, or the status of your Holds. Here are the directions:
Contact the Library for further information at 413-236-2150 between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. You will need a current BCC email address for us to verify you.
