Quick Tutorials: ProQuest Modules

About ProQuest's Research Companion

ProQuest's Research Companion was built to help students do more effective scholarly research and to support educators as they teach the core information literacy principles of finding, evaluating, and using information.  More than 80 short videos are organized into nine Learning Modules that answer questions like "How do I choose a topic?" "Where do I find information?" and "How do I evaluate sources?" Different kinds of "pre" and "post" assessment questions make the viewing experience more interactive. Aligned both to ACRL Information Literacy and Common Core English Language Arts standards, Research Companion provides a framework and foundation for information literacy instruction.

ProQuest's Research Companion has been made available to Public Libraries and to Secondary, Middle School and Academic Libraries throughout Massachusetts.  No authentication is necessary if these modules are accessed within the Commonwealth.  A BCC or Public Library card will be necessary if you try to access them outside of Massachusetts.
